Adding a grain, grit or scratch texture over an animation in After Effects normally means digging
through folders, importing a file, dragging it in, and lining it up on the timeline. In AEJuice Pack
Manager 4 it is a single button.
1. Open the Textures category
In Pack Manager 4, the pack sidebar lists its categories. This pack has Overlays (16 items) and
Textures (16 items). Click Textures and the grid fills with the texture clips — Texture 17,
Texture 18 and the rest, each showing its duration on the thumbnail.
2. Pick a texture and hit Import
Click the texture you want. Texture 17 gets a highlighted border to confirm the selection. Then
press Import at the top of the panel.
That is the whole interaction. No file browser, no dragging into the project panel, no hunting for
where the footage landed.
3. It lands on your timeline
The texture is placed straight onto the timeline above your existing animation layer, already
positioned and ready to go.
Why it matters
Texture passes are one of those small finishing touches you skip because the setup friction is
higher than the payoff. Cutting it to one click means you actually use them.
Pack Manager 4 works the same way for every category in the pack — overlays, textures, elements. Pick
it, import it, keep editing.
