swithcing layers up and down in premier pro shortcut

hello I’m looking for a shortcut to move layers more easily in Premiere. For example, I want to raise the bottom layer. In Premiere there is alt+up/down shortcut, but by doing this, the bottom layer will go on top of other layers and those layers will disappear. Whereas with the alt+ctrl+up/down shortcut I can do this in After Effects by moving the layers and not deleting them.

Now, what are the shorts that move layers without removing them in Premiere?

In Adobe Premiere Pro, moving clips up or down using the Alt + Up/Down (Windows) or Option + Up/Down (Mac) shortcut will overwrite existing clips if they occupy the target track. To move clips without overwriting, consider the following methods:

  1. Ensure Target Track is Empty: Before moving a clip, confirm that the target track is empty to prevent overwriting.

2 . Manually Dragging Clips: Drag the clip to the new track instead of using keyboard shortcuts.
